Rhode Island Business Plan Competition Announces Free Workshops
PROVIDENCE – (Nov. 13, 2017) – The Rhode Island Business Plan Competition (RIBPC), New England’s leading community supported business plan competition, today announced it will host a series of free workshops aimed at helping emerging and aspiring entrepreneurs learn about key facets of business development from experts.
Starting next month, the workshops will provide insights and tips on how best to identify potential businesses, understand customer motivations, make the case for funding, and present to investors.
The events, open to the public, will run through March, leading up to the April 2 deadline to apply to the 2018 Rhode Island Business Plan Competition, which anticipates awarding prizes valued at $200,000. Participation in the workshops is not required to apply to the competition.
The workshops, all to be held 5:30 – 7 pm at Tech Collective in Providence, are as follows:
- Dec. 6 – Define Your Business Idea
- Jan. 11 – Know Your Customer
- Feb. 8 – Make Your Business Case
- March 8 – Win Over Investors
